The traction table is designed to get your spine moving little by little to improve the range of motion within your spine.  The rollers gently roll and massage up and down your spine, stretching your spinal muscles and ligaments and removing pressure between them.  This allows for increased blood flow and oxygen to all parts of your spine, which will help reduce pain and improve balance and strength.

Inter-segmental traction also helps to improve the circulation of cerebral spinal fluid in your spinal disks.  That fluid is responsible for supplying your spinal disks the nutrients they need to survive and perform at their peak.  If the fluid supply is lacking long term, it can cause thinning of your vertebral disks.  Often, that results in long-term deficiencies in your range of motion and ability to move freely.
