COLD LASER THERAPY
Cold Laser Therapy, also known as photobiomodulation or low level laser therapy, is the science of applying low power lasers to the surface of the skin. As opposed to high powered lasers used in surgery to cut or destroy tissue, these lasers actually stimulate and enhance cell function. The laser light is absorbed by your skin's mitochondria, which are responsible for the production of energy in your body. As this occurs, the cellular energy production will be increased and the surrounding tissues will be stimulated to heal.
Shortly after use, the laser therapy can reduce inflammation and pain, and it can greatly reduce the time it takes your injury to heal. Studies have shown success treating a variety of conditions with the laser, including:
